In an effort to draw more subscribers, many streamers are offering add-on channels — and no one offers more than Amazon Prime.
“Prime Video is leading the race with more than 100 add-on subscriptions available on the Amazon streaming platform,” Variety reported, noting that the streamer recently added Apple TV+.
Amazon Prime also offers subscriptions like Max, Paramount+, MGM+, Starz and many more.
“Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering a wide selection of premium programming,” Mike Hopkins, SVP and Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, explained.

“What we offer channel partners is hundreds of millions of subscribers around the world,” Hopkins said of Amazon’s channel partnerships at Bloomberg’s Screentime conference. “We see a lot more engagement, we’re able to get subscribers for those businesses at a really attractive rate.”
Apple TV+ isn’t the only new channel joining Prime’s collection. The streaming service recently inked a deal with PBS, bringing “150 local stations, PBS Kids and two new FAST channels to Prime Video,” per Deadline.
“The pact marks the first time PBS programming will be available for free on a major streaming service,” the outlet continued. “PBS Drama and PBS Documentaries will be available exclusively for a limited time on Prime Video starting November 26. PBS Distribution will also offer a ‘pop-up’ FAST channel featuring a rotating selection of classic PBS shows, starting with READING RAINBOW.”
