As attacks continue on the Bible (even within many churches and denominations that have abandoned the moral and theological principles on which Christianity is based), it’s important for everyone to realize that the Bible is a unique set of historically reliable documents that reveal God’s salvation plan for humankind – Jesus Christ!
Even the 3,500-year-old books of Moses in the Hebrew Scriptures, the five books of the Torah, reveal Jesus Christ. For example, Gen. 3:15 predicts the virgin birth of the Messiah, or the Christ, the crucifixion of the Messiah (also known as “The Passion of the Christ”), the Resurrection of the Christ, and the defeat of the Serpent of Sin that Jesus Christ brings to all people everywhere.
As Jesus Christ says Himself in Matthew 4:4, quoting Deut. 8:3 written down by Moses himself, “Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Jesus Christ is the Word of God made Flesh who enlightens all people (John 1:9). The Bible reveals Jesus Christ to human beings, yet, according to a recent study by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, an increasing number of Americans, especially Americans in liberal states like California, are turning away from Jesus Christ and turning away from the Bible. We can see this fact reflected in the recent anti-biblical, anti-Christian ruling by the corrupt, willfully ignorant California Supreme Court against the Bible’s clear teachings on traditional marriage and the evils of homosexuality.
