Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Thanks Fans for ‘Continuous Prayers’ After Stroke

After suffering from a stroke earlier this month, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, praised God for a miraculous recovery, allowing her to be discharged from the hospital.

“My CT scan of my chest came back normal and I’m going home today,” Broadus told fans via an Instagram story. “I’m going home today, I can prolly cry omgggg. Thank you, thank you for the continuous prayers, love, etc.”

This update came after a post earlier in the week revealed her recovery from the stroke was going smoothly.

“God is working overtime, you hear me!” she told fans. “My kidneys were doing terrible…doctors came in this a.m. and said they are improving so much.”

The singer was discharged from the hospital later in the day after receiving a clear CT scan. She updated fans with a “welcome home” banner in her living room.

Broadus was hospitalized on Jan. 18, when doctors found that she had suffered a stroke even though she is only 24. The shocking condition was likely linked to her battle with Lupus, which she has faced since she was six years old.

The sickness had led her to the brink of desperation when she was younger, eroding her mental health. In recent years, however, she has emphasized improving her health.

“I have days where I’m sick, but I’m still blessed and able to do what I love to do and to tell my story,” Broadus said last September. “But then there’s days I’m like, ‘Wow, I wish I wasn’t sick. What would my life be if I was just a normal girl?’ It’s part of being human. You’re going to have bad days, you’re not going to always have good days.”

Please keep Broadus in your prayers as she returns home and continues to recover from her stroke.
