Teenagers Are Losing Their Faith!

It seems possible that one of the most important results of the spiritual absenteeism of American parents in the item directly above can be seen in the results of a new survey, which finds that American teenagers who say they definitely believe in God or a higher power declined from 54% to 37% between 1984 and 2008, while the percentage of atheists rose from 6% to 16%. The percentage of teenagers uncertain about God remained stable at 31%.

Sociologist Reginald Bibby suggests that a drop-off in religious feeling among Baby Boomers is the likely reason.
