Terry Crews Says ‘Talent Is Not Enough,’ But a Heart of Gratitude Is
By Movieguide® Contributor
Actor and comedian Terry Crews joined the “Endorphin Drop” podcast to discuss how much gratitude changed the course of his career.
“Talent is not enough. Working hard is not enough,” Crews began. “I know a lot of people that are super talented that don’t have half of what I got. I know people who work all day, all night, and still don’t have anything near what I got. What I have is blessings. That you know you feel the universe has said, ‘Because you’re grateful, I can give you more.’ But soon as you get ungrateful everything starts to shrink, everything contracts. I’ve seen it happen.”
“I’ve watched people who are super successful, and they get arrogant, and they feel like, ‘I should have had it,'” he continued. “And all of a sudden, everything just starts to get smaller and smaller, and they disappear. I’ve been in this business 25 years, and you watch people just go from here, and you wonder what happened because they were never grateful, they were never thankful. And so, I realized that was the trick.”

Crews often expresses his gratitude for his life and the experiences he has on his social media.
In a recent video, he shared snippets of his time at an F1 race.
“It’s hard to put into words what an amazing weekend it’s been with @F1 in @Vegas! These athletes are next level y’all. Blessed to witness them in action,” the actor said.
In another post, Crews visited Egypt and was in awe of how beautiful the world is.
“Last night in Egypt with the greatest real estate brand in the WORLD @binghatti!!! One of the greatest nights of my life,” Crews wrote. “I am forever grateful to be accepted into the Binghatti family as one of their own. WAIT UNTIL THE WORLD SEES WHAT WE DO TOGETHER.”
