A MINECRAFT MOVIE star Jack Black just gave one fan, Tanner Smith from reality dating show LOVE ON THE SPECTRUM, the surprise of a lifetime.
Smith previously shared his love for Black while on THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW, and when he returned to Clarkson’s show recently, Black had a special message for him.
“What’s up, Tanner? Jack Black here,” he began in a video message played on the show. “I still cannot wait to meet you in person, but I’m on the road with A MINECRAFT MOVIE right now,” he added, referring to his new movie.
He continued, “But luckily, I have insane ninja kung fu powers, which means I can come through these doors and I’m gonna…I’m gonna see you right now when I come through these doors!”
Black was actually recording the video live, and he walked through the doors to meet his biggest fan.
“Jack, I’m happy to finally meet you!” Smith said with utter excitement.
He continued hugging the actor with joy.
“You’re looking good, Jack,” he added. “And Jack, you’re a great actor, just like me. And you’re very strong, too.”
Black hugged Smith, and the two sat down on Clarkson’s couch.
“Hey, I love you on the show, and I can’t wait for the next season,” Black told Smith, referring to LOVE ON THE SPECTRUM which just dropped its third season on Netflix. “And I’m so happy for you having all of this success and time in your life. And to meet you in person is really amazing for me, too.”
Smith told Clarkson, “Miss Kelly, thank you so much. This is the best day of my life!”
Clarkson posted a clip from the special encounter to her Instagram page, and fans were touched.
“Jack Black is literally one of the best people who ever existed,” one user said. “I wish I could love this a thousand times over,” another person added.

Smith stars on LOVE ON THE SPECTRUM, a show that follows individuals with autism as they “navigate the world of dating and relationships.”
One in 36 children and one in 45 adults have autism. Autism Speaks defines it as “a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.”
Tanner Smith recently shared what he’s learned from being on the show.
“I learned that if you are brave and take a chance on something new and different, you will learn a lot and become a better person” he told Tudum. “It will make you grow and challenge you in a great way!”
“I want people to know that autistic people are not always stuck being the same way,” Smith added. “We grow and change just like everyone else.”
