TikTok Influencer Says ‘God Set Me Free’ From the Occult

TikTok influencer Yamilexis Fernandez is opening up about how she turned away from the occult and found God.

“I was born in Cuba,” she explained in a video for THE 700 CLUB. “We lived right next to a santeria house, which is a really deep, occult, witchcraft home. They did a lot of witchcraft stuff to me as a child.”

Fernandez shared that, as a result of her occult experiences, she would have “really bad nightmares.”

Her family eventually moved to America, where her mother got a job working at night, leaving Fernandez at home with her stepfather.

“He had a lot of pornography,” she said. “I was either six or seven when he started molesting me.”

Fernandez eventually told her mother about the abuse, and they moved out. One night, she got up to go to the bathroom and “[felt] something just sit on me.”

“I just called out to Jesus,” she said. “From that moment, calling on Jesus was like inviting Him in.”

Fernandez began attending Bible studies and Christian conferences and eventually was baptized. However, she was still struggling with “pornography and depression and anxiety.”

“I just wept, and I was like, ‘God, I know you want to use me in ministry,’” she shared. “‘I know you have this calling on my life, but I’m struggling so bad with this. I need you to help me break free from these bondages.’”

She continued, “I got up, and I felt lighter after the prayer…I was like, ‘I’m going to take that as a sign [that] God set me free.’ So, I downloaded TikTok, and I posted my testimony. That video, within a week, had a million views.”

“The trajectory of my life changed because I surrendered fully to God,” Fernandez concluded. “I’m the first Christian in my family, and I thank God for that. He is the father I always needed.”

Today, Fernandez uses her online platform to spread her faith.

A recent Instagram post encouraged followers to stop comparing themselves to others and see the beauty within themselves.

“As you look at the sunset, the flowers in the field the beauty all around you remember the same God that created that created you,” she wrote. “I haven’t arrived in this place of always loving my body but I am thankful for it. I am thankful for the arms that I get to use to embrace the people I love. God is madly in love with you, I hope this this post makes you feel SEEN loved and encouraged. You are only enough in Christ every other well will always run dry.”

Fernandez also recently launched the second season of her podcast, “Loud About Jesus.”

“So excited for what God is about to do! <3” she wrote. “I’ve been praying for confirmation & the Lord gave it to me. You guys have been asking me so much to relaunch the pod I can’t wait to see what the Lord does through this!!! I feel so excited for this new season!”
