TikTok Star Creates Docuseries About Israel to Inspire Gen Z’s Faith
By Movieguide® Contributor
TikToker Allie Schnacky and Dan Luxenberg, founder of faith-based content company SoulShop, recently shared their new collaborative docuseries about Israel called “Walking the Word.”
“I remember getting on the first phone call with Dan…and we started a ton of different meetings just brainstorming about how do we tell the world and, more specifically, our generation about what is going on over there (in Israel),” Schnacky told CBN’s Faithwire.
The duo shared a desire to meet the needs of the younger generation through an Israel docuseries. They expressed that the currently available content about Israel and places where biblical events occurred is not made in a way that interests Gen Z.
“It was the most incredible opportunity of my entire life and I am so, so, so excited for this series to come out,” she continued, “because it fills that need for the first time ever.”
“I’m so happy for that one kid who’s on YouTube and TikTok and Instagram who’s gonna search something about Israel and not be so bored but be inspired, laugh, cry, continue to be immersed in the Schnacky world and feel a deeper connection,” Luxenberg explained. “So when they open their Bible, it’s not this faraway, distant land of Israel, but it’s somewhere you can literally go online and book a flight.”
The TikTok star made several posts about her Israel trip on her Instagram.
Part of one post reads, “As I began to walk through what was left of this old tabernacle in Israel (where Jesus is thought to have potentially taught) all I can think is “how many people were changed forever because of one encounter in this very place?” When Jesus spoke, people listened. They didn’t always like what He had to say, but they listened. His words challenged their natural minds, their deepest beliefs and desires.”
In another post, Schnacky shared a montage of moments from the trip. She featured the Garden Tomb, Caesarea, The Sea of Galilee and many other places where Jesus is believed to have visited.
Movieguide® also reported on actor Nathaniel Buzolic’s Israel trip:
HACKSAW RIDGE actor Nathaniel Buzolic recently shared his thoughts on a trip to Biblical landmark Mount Hermon.
‘The highest point in ALL of Israel,’ he reminded followers in his caption. ‘And this is the location I believe most likely to be the place where Jesus would transfigure and reveal His true Glory to 3 disciples. It would also be here that Peter, James and John would see Jesus talking with Moses and Elijah.’
Buzolic continued, ‘Prior to this awesome event that is recorded in the gospels Jesus takes His disciples to Caesarea Philippi which sits at the bottom of this mountain range. From here departing this mountain range Jesus will have a Jerusalem in His sights, which will lead him to his triumphant entry into the city of the great King.’
