By Movieguide® Contributor
Tim Tebow’s foundation honored young people with disabilities as churches around the world hosted “Night to Shine” events.
Night to Shine is for anyone ages 14 or older living with disabilities, the website explains. Though event specifics vary depending on location, they always include “a red carpet entrance complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi, hair and makeup stations, shoeshines, limousine rides, karaoke, gifts, a catered dinner, a Sensory Room, a Respite Room for parents and caregivers, dancing, and a crowning ceremony where every guest is honored as a King or a Queen — the way God sees them each and every day.”
Tebow launched the event in 2014 with just one church. Eleven years later, it has grown to 821 churches across 62 countries, CBN reported.

“It’s incredible to see the joy and hope in the faces of our Kings and Queens as they step onto the red carpet at Night to Shine — that moment when they realize the cheers and applause are for them,” Tebow said of the event.
“For many, it’s the first time they’ve ever felt truly celebrated, especially by someone outside their family. But that’s exactly why Night to Shine exists — to remind them of their inherent worth, that they are God’s beloved royalty, seen and cherished by Him every single day,” he added.
One part of the night that the attendees love the most is when they receive their crown which signifies “their true identity as God’s royalty.”
“It’s so much more than a crown or tiara — it’s a declaration of worth and love! We crown every Night to Shine honored guest the King or Queen because that’s how God sees them,” Tebow wrote on his X page.
In another post, he wrote, “It doesn’t matter what language you speak — at Night to Shine, we speak the language of love. This night is all about showing every King and Queen how deeply loved and valuable they are. Thank you to every volunteer, church, and prayer warrior making this night possible around the world!”
