Too Much TV Causes Poor Learning, Motor Skills

Preschoolers watching two hours or more of television per day can diminish a child’s vocabulary, math skills, ability to pay attention, and physical prowess, a 2013 study from the University of Montreal shows.

The study has led the American Academy of Pediatrics to reiterate its recommendation that children watch no more than two hours of TV per day, and that children under two watch no TV at all.

The study involved 991 girls and 1,006 boys in Quebec, Canada.
