UConn Men’s Basketball star Tarris Reed has been on a hot streak his last four games.
According to Sports Spectrum, Reed has averaged “18.0 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks on 74.4% shooting in 26.5 minutes of action” in that four game stretch.
In his game last Wednesday, Reed secured a 20-point double-double, “and followed that up with a 24-point, 18-rebound, six-block performance against Providence on Saturday, a 75-63 UConn win.”
When asked what changed for him, Reed credited his outstanding play because of his focus on the Lord.

Reed often uses his platform on social media to talk about his faith. Prior to the season, Reed changed his number to 5.
“The number 5 many times in the Bible symbolizes God’s grace, goodness and favor toward humans. Since five represents grace, when its multiplied by itself, it produces 25, which means ‘grace upon grace,'” the UConn star explained.
Before Reed transferred from Michigan to UConn, he was asked by the strength coach, Jon Sanderson, at Michigan if Reed read the bible. He said no.
That’s when Sanderson suggested that Reed read start with one of the four gospels.
“It changed my life,” Reed said of reading the Bible. “The way I walk, talk, act, speak. Jesus has literally changed me from the inside out. I love talking about the Lord and what He’s done for my life, so I can go out and help others.”
