Furious Box Office Weekend
Memorial Day weekend was big at the movies with three openers above $34 million. FAST AND FURIOUS 6 topped the weekend with almost $100 million, while THE HANGOVER 3 and EPIC also opened above $30 million. STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS and IRON MAN 3 continued to add to their hefty totals.   IRON MAN 3 is approaching the $400 mark and looks to be hard to beat as the top movie of 2013. Both STAR TREK: INTO DARKESS and THE GREAT GATSBY passed the $100 million mark.
EPIC has almost a month to draw family audiences until MONSTERS UNIVERSITY provides new competition.
