Ever wondered what your favorite BOY MEETS WORLD characters would be up to today? Stars Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong have some answers.

“[Topanga] was supposed to go on to be a judge at some point,” Fishel, who played the character of Topanga Lawrence for seven seasons, told Parade. “I don’t know that Topanga would be a judge. I don’t think she’d want to take that route. I think Topanga would really be doing pro bono work at a law firm where she was a partner.”

The actress added, “Or maybe she started her own law firm, you know, with a very specific goal in mind. And hiring like-minded people where the goal was to help people. I absolutely think that’s where her path would have been.”

Friedle’s character Eric explored a lot of different careers — weatherman, retail worker, photographer — before ultimately becoming a senator in the BOY MEETS WORLD sequel series GIRL MEETS WORLD.

“Eric was impeached from the Senate,” Friedle joked. “He was really excited because he loves peaches. It did not turn out the way he thought it was going to. And he now probably lives on a farm growing those peaches that they didn’t give him at his hearing.”

As for Strong’s character Shawn, the actor thinks he was left in a pretty good place. After traveling the world as a writer and photographer, Shawn also showed up in GIRL MEETS WORLD, where he got married to a single mom.

“I actually think where Shawn ended up on GIRL MEETS WORLD was pretty great,” Strong said. “He ends up with a happy ending. Married, adopting Marya, that’s great. That is a wonderful thing.”

The trio have continued working together over the years — most notably on hit podcast “Pod Meets World” — and are now sharing the screen again in documentary DOC MEETS WORLD. The project follows the actors on a 2025 tour held in honor of the show’s 30-year anniversary.

“This celebratory documentary features the real-life friendships, personal struggles, and shared memories of these beloved characters,” a description of DOC MEETS WORLD on the Tribeca Film Festival website reads. “Footage from performances throughout their tour, including celebrity cameos and fan photo ops, paints a fuller picture of how deeply the show has touched the lives of fans nationwide. Audiences also learn more about the actors’ current personal lives.”

Speaking to PEOPLE about the impact BOY MEETS WORLD has had on both them and their fans, Fishel shared, “I see its significance, I see its importance and I see how it is special. And I’m grateful to all those people who spent their time coming up and telling us that. Because I think without that, it would never have given Rider the idea for us to do [the podcast]. And it turned into what it turned into.”

BOY MEETS WORLD might be long over, but for its stars and fans alike, the characters live on.
