BACHELOR alum Madison Prewett Troutt already got started on her 2026 resolution; the former reality star is taking a break from social media.
“Becoming a mom, so many of my priorities have shifted,” she said in an Instagram video. “Something that is so important to me is that my daughter sees a mom who is present, who’s not rushed or distracted. As I’ve just been prayerful about reflecting on 2025 and what I hope and envision for 2026, I’ve been thinking about what needs to end in order for God to do something new.”
Troutt explained that she has always “wrestled” with social media,” saying it “always led to this anxiety [and] comparison” that wasn’t healthy.
“I will be getting off my main Instagram for now [to] enjoy this time with my family, and being more present locally and serving our local church and honestly just finding rest for my soul,” she said.

Troutt concluded, “I want you to reflect on what it is that has been stealing your peace or keeping you from real rest…whatever it is, let’s be brave enough to step away from it…let’s dare to be true together.”
Dare To Be True is the title of Troutt’s 2025 book, written to help readers “defeat the lies that bind you and live out the truth that frees you.”
“I wrote this book for the one who is tired of the pretending and striving, who feels isolated and hopeless, and who is bombarded with lies that leaves you to question: What’s really true? about me? About God? About life after this life?” Troutt wrote in an Instagram caption.
She continued, “In reading this book, you will confront what’s holding you back and break free from what is breaking you. Now is the time to experience the abundant life you were made for— a life of true freedom.”
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Troutt spoke about her growing career as an influencer.
“I always want to take it to God and ask Him to lead me and guide me,” she said, adding that backlash “just makes me want to be even more bold, and be even more unashamed of God’s truth that I believe is the only thing that’ll set us free.”
Troutt’s decision to step back from social media is a great way to kick off the year, making her more present in her — and her family’s — life.
