Will JoAnna Garcia Swisher make an appearance in Reba McEntire’s HAPPY’S PLACE?
“No doubt,” she said to Parade when asked about showing up in her REBA co-star’s sitcom. “If they were to ask me to do it, I would 100 percent be there and I would move mountains to do it.”
Swisher explained that “obviously they’re making a television show,” so a potential cameo would have to “work for the story and all of those moments.”
HAPPY’S PLACE has featured plenty of REBA actors. Melissa Peterman stars in the show alongside McEntire, and Christopher Rich and Steve Howey have also made guest appearances.
Swisher said she has “not yet” been asked to come on the show but shared her excitement at going to visit their set.
“When I’ve been in L.A, they haven’t been in production, so I’ve just seen them personally, but I really want to go back and watch them create that magic,” the actress explained. “They’re just all so special to me. In front of the camera and behind the camera, that’s family.”

McEntire has shared her desire to get Swisher on HAPPY’S PLACE as well, telling Us Weekly, “JoAnna is so busy. She’s producing, she’s got three movies and she’s [working on] SWEET MAGNOLIAS. So she is a very busy lady but she said she’d definitely be there.”
Speaking of SWEET MAGNOLIAS, Swisher recently teased fans that the upcoming fifth season has the “most romance” yet.
“That is across the board. It’s a roller coaster as it always is but I think this is the first season in a really long time that fans are gonna get those butterflies again,” she told Us Weekly. “There are some fresh faces that are joining our cast in really unique and fun ways. The Magnolias are seeing new possibilities on the horizon that are going to only expand our world.”
Swisher continued, “It is very exciting this season. We are all over the place. It’s taking us a little bit longer to complete a season because we’ve gotten the opportunity to travel. Actually last night we were shooting at the baseball field, and I was looking around, and we have a lot of new cast members. There’s these new faces in Serenity, South Carolina, that are so exciting for me.”
Working on SWEET MAGNOLIAS is taking up much of Swisher’s time at the moment, but between her and McEntire, it seems like it’ll just be a matter of time before we see her join her REBA castmates on HAPPY’S PLACE!
