Streaming on Lifetime, RESCUED BY FAITH tells the incredible true story of Connie and Larry Van Oosten. Connie and Larry are enjoying their retirement with their close-knit family. One night, however, a masked intruder wakes them up, kidnaps them and holds them hostage in a vacant home’s basement. The kidnapper forces Connie to drain their bank accounts and give him access to their money. As Connie and Larry work with the kidnapper in hopes of making it out alive, they constantly return to their strong faith, certain that God is with them.

RESCUED BY FAITH has a strong plot, with a twist in the story that will shock viewers who are unfamiliar with the Van Oosten case. Lead actors Nancy Travis and Mike Pniewski deliver moving performances as Connie and Larry. Jake Allyn creates a chilling performance as the villain. RESCUED BY FAITH has a strong Christian worldview. It promotes faith, prayer and forgiveness. However, the movie does include some light violence and discussions about losing faith.
