What You Need To Know:
A sweet-natured road movie with a Latin flavor, JUMP TOMORROW is a good first effort for writer/director Joel Hopkins. Some polish would help, although the movie features generally good performances. JUMP TOMORROW is fairly clean, but there’s a couple vague sexual references. Also, George invites a woman to his hotel room, but George falls off the bed in the dark while waiting for the woman when he accidentally sets off the massage mechanism. Nothing else is shown happening in that scene, but its content is enough to give JUMP TOMORROW a caution for older children
Content:
(Ro, C, LL, V, S, N, AA, M) Romantic worldview with wedding scene set in Christian church with a Christian pastor/priest; 2 obscenities, 4 mild profanities & 12 strong profanities heard in song over final credits; very mild slapstick violence; man invites woman to his hotel room but nothing really happens during the scene, which is left very vague; partial nudity when man takes bath in hotel room; alcohol use & drunkenness; no smoking; and, man saves despondent, lovesick man from committing suicide.
More Detail:
A sweet road movie with a Latin flavor, JUMP TOMORROW is a good first effort for writer/director Joel Hopkins, a New York University film graduate. A little polish would help the movie, although it features generally good performances by its multicultural cast. This movie is fairly clean, but there’s a couple vague sexual references. Also, George invites a woman to his hotel room, but George falls off the bed in the dark while waiting for the woman when he accidentally sets off the violent massage mechanism. Nothing else is shown happening in that scene, but the content there is enough to give JUMP TOMORROW a caution for older children. Inexplicably, there are also 12 strong profanities heard in a song played during the final credits.
