Candace Cameron Bure released a new devotional which encourages readers to begin their day focused on the Lord and find strength in Him, not themselves.
“It’s just a couple of minutes every day to remind you to renew your mind, to connect with God and what His word says and remind you that He is your joy, that your joy comes from Him and He also is your strength,” Bure told Fox News Digital about her devotional, 100 Days of Joy and Strength: A Devotional Journal.
“You don’t have to do it alone,” she added. “We can’t do it alone because we’re not really equipped, and we’re not ever good enough, but God is. And so we can draw from His strength, and, in turn, that gives us our joy.”
As a longtime Christian, Bure has let the Lord guide her career, and despite trials, she retains joy and strength because of Him. Whether it be vocational struggles or difficulties in her personal life, she is rooted in the Lord.

“I always try to think about their perspective or where they’re coming from,” Bure previously said when discussing how she approaches conversations with people who hold different beliefs. “I try to look at it, hear their perspective, and have empathy to help diffuse that. We can still be kind and loving but speak truth and be strong in those words and stand up for God, stand up for what’s right. We just don’t have to yell and scream and pound our fist and just say things that we’ll regret.”
To keep herself grounded, Bure spends time in the Word every day, explaining that connecting with God allows her to focus on what matters rather than the follies of this world. And, thanks to her outspoken faith, Bure has been become a Christian icon in the entertainment industry.
“The thing to me that was most surprising is that over the years I’ve been embraced as a woman of faith in the entertainment industry,” Bure previously said. “I didn’t set out to do that and I didn’t expect that to happen. I’m very happy that I’ve been able to navigate both being very open about my faith and…still have all of these different jobs in the entertainment industry and be able to incorporate some of that into them — not all of them, because that’s also not my goal. I’ve never been someone who makes only Christian content or faith-based content.”
Bure’s inspiration for her fans continues through her devotional 100 Days of Joy and Strength: A Devotional Journal, which is available now.
