PSYCHO BEACH PARTY

What You Need To Know:

PSYCHO BEACH PARTY is a campy spoof of 1960s beach movies and modern slasher movies. A female teenager named Florence has a split personality because of a childhood trauma. Florence manages to worm her way into a group of young male teenage surfers in Malibu, because the young adult mentor of the surfers, the “Great Kanaka,” finds out that one of her personalities is a sexy, sadomasochistic dominatrix who turns him on sexually. Meanwhile, a mad killer stalks the teenagers in the movie. Florence and her sexually frustrated but traditionally-minded mother are two of the suspects. A female police detective, played by the male screenwriter in drag, tries to solve the murders.

PSYCHO BEACH PARTY may be tame compared to similar summer movies, such as SCARY MOVIE. A pagan homosexual worldview permeates this badly done production, however, mostly due to the latent homosexual desires of some of the characters. PSYCHO BEACH PARTY wants desperately to be another campy ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, the homosexual cult classic, but it has none of the cleverness or catchy pop tunes. Even its pro-homosexual agenda is pretty lame, though, ultimately, no less sick and degrading
