What You Need To Know:
THE ARYAN COUPLE is an entertaining thriller about Jews escaping Adolf Hitler’s National Socialist murder machine during World War II. Although it is a bit unbelievable and stilted, it has an exciting finish. It is a more traditional thriller about World War II than other recent movies, with very little light foul language and discreet depictions of violence. The acting is very good, particularly Danny Webb’s mesmerizing personification of the tyrant Himmler. There is, however, a graphic nude photo of three live young Holocaust victims.

More Detail:
THE ARYAN COUPLE is an entertaining thriller about Jews escaping Adolf Hitler’s National Socialist murder machine during World War II. Although it is a bit unbelievable and stilted, it has an exciting finish.
The story opens in Hungary with two Resistance members, a young man and a woman, secretly filming Adolf Eichmann personally leading German soldiers who are cramming hundreds of Jews into boxcars going to concentration camps. The couple, who call themselves Hans and Ingrid, are the German maid and butler for Joseph Krauzenberg, a wealthy Jewish industrialist, and his wife. Krauzenberg is negotiating personally with Heinrich Himmler to give the Nazis all of his fortune, in exchange for the freedom of his entire family. Himmler has invited Eichmann to an after-dinner coffee with the Krauzenbergs, where they will sign the agreement. Hans sees an opportunity to kill both Himmler and Eichmann, but his wife argues against it, because she also wants to escape safely from the Nazis. The movie ends with both the Krauzenbergs and the Aryan couple trying to complete their escape plans.
THE ARYAN COUPLE is a more traditional thriller about World War II than other recent movies, with very little light foul language and discreet depictions of violence. Although some of the dialogue is stilted, the acting is very good, especially Martin Landau as Mr. Krauzenberg and Danny Webb as Himmler. Webb’s personification of the tyrant Himmler is particularly mesmerizing. The movie has a strong moral worldview and even contains a scene where Krauzenberg’s Gentile employees tearfully wish him farewell as he tells them, God bless you. There is, however, a photo of three live young Holocaust victims who are completely nude.
The movie’s depiction of strained relationships between Himmler and Eichmann seems to be accurate, though fictionalized. Also, Eichmann really did personally lead the deportation of Hungarian Jews in 1944.
