More Detail:
Four years later, Marla, once full of starry-eyed dreams, is now focused on safety and responsibility, while Charlie still wants to have fun. After a brief argument, Charlie runs away to mid-town Manhattan to meet some friends at a toy convention. Marla pings his cell phone and runs after him. She catches him in a massive toy display of an entire world of Playmobil toys. As they continue to argue, Charlie holds up his Viking action figure and Marla grabs it and throws it into the midst of the Viking display.
Charlie’s Viking actin figure unlocks a portal where Marla and Charlie are transported into the animated Playmobil world. Charlie becomes the Viking figure and Marla resembles a mother figure, and they are soon separated. It takes courage and making friends such as Del, the magical hay/food truck guy (voiced by Jim Gaffigan) and a fairy godmother, to overcome the enemies that seek to separate Charlie and Marla forever.
