PEOPLE WE MEET ON VACATION follows Poppy, a free-spirited travel writer, and Alex, an organized teacher. The pair met in college and, while they initially clashed over their differences, soon became close friends.
They make a pact to spend a week together every year, going on trips around the world, whether it’s a camping trip to the Canadian wilderness or a fun round of sightseeing in New Orleans. However, real life intrudes, and after a disastrous trip to Italy, Poppy and Alex stop talking.
Two years later, they attend the same wedding in Barcelona.
