What You Need To Know:
The artistic quality of THE WEDDING FIX is good, but the writing and acting are lacking a bit. For example, the movie is cheesy, predictable and drags on a little too long. Also, the movie has a strong Romantic worldview where the main characters are easily controlled and driven by their hearts and emotions. At the same time, however, THE WEDDING FIX is sweet and innocent, and contains some wholesome content and strong positive moral qualities stressing true friendship, love, loyalty, and doing the right thing. Ultimately, it’s the movie’s Romantic elements that are mostly objectionable. So, it’s for that reason that MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children.

More Detail:
THE WEDDING FIX is a romantic comedy on UPtv about a female TV host who tries to get over her ex-boyfriend by helping her best friend plan the friend’s wedding with the groom’s good-looking best man. THE WEDDING FIX is sweet and innocent, with good production values and strong moral elements stressing true friendship, love, loyalty, and doing the right thing, but it’s a bit cheesy and predictable and has a strong Romantic worldview where the main characters are all driven by their hearts and emotions.
Gwen is a female TV host who thinks she has her life well planned. She has a great job, lives in a nice city and has a great boyfriend who’s soon to be her fiancé. Out of the blue, however, her boyfriend dumps her, and Gwen realizes it’s time to figure things out on her own.
Meanwhile, Gwen’s best friend is getting married and ends up needing extra help from Gwen, her maid of honor, to pull off the wedding. Helping her best friend is the perfect distraction for Gwen.
As it turns out, the best man, Josh, is also needed, and the two take a liking to each other from the start. Gwen being an over-planner and Josh being a go with the flow guy, they end up learning a great deal from each other. Gwen realizes there’s more to life than just planning every little aspect, and Josh realizes it’s okay to make plans!
It becomes clear that Gwen and Josh are starting to fall for one another, but they also question if their different lifestyles will truly fit together. They seem to share the same values and agree on other important things in life, but will that be enough for them? Will Gwen’s ex come back into the picture? Or, will everyone just remain as friends?
The lighting, use of colors and scenery throughout THE WEDDING FIX are all quite beautiful. However, the acting is pretty average, and the plotline doesn’t seem to advance the story much. The movie is most definitely cheesy as well as predictable, which may lose the entertainment or attention of some viewers as the movie goes on. It feels like some of plot was dragged out too long. At the same time, though, THE WEDDING FIX is sweet and innocent, presenting some wholesome content and proving some good points.
THE WEDDING FIX has a strong Romantic worldview. The main characters are easily controlled and driven by their hearts and emotions. They all believe in true love and finding the right person, and some even go against intellect to chase down that perfect love. That said, there’s little that’s truly objectionable in the movie and it is extremely innocent. THE WEDDING FIX does have some redemptive, positive moral qualities stressing true friendship, love, loyalty, and doing the right thing. Ultimately, it’s the movie’s Romantic elements that are mostly objectionable. So, it’s for that reason that MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children.
