What You Need To Know:

WISH FOR CHRISTMAS is about Anna, a high school senior struggling with the strong faith of her parents. The Christmas Ball is coming up, and Anna has her heart set on going with the handsome Colton Smith and chairing the decorating committee. Anna’s hopes are dashed when the Ball is moved to Christmas Eve. This conflicts with the Christmas Eve church service, and her parents won’t allow her to skip church. In frustration, Anna wishes her parents didn’t believe in God. Her wish comes true and she gets exactly what she requested, but not quite what she wanted.

WISH FOR CHRISTMAS is compelling and heartwarming with good acting and writing. The movie includes a magical plot device about granting wishes, but the movie ultimately depicts a strong Christian worldview and does a good job showing what it looks like to live your life for Christ’s glory and not your own. The filmmakers also do a good job showing what true love for family and friends looks like. Due to some bullying and disrespect for parents, discretion is advised for WISH FOR CHRISTMAS.

Content:

(CCC, BB, MM) Very strong Christian worldview encouraging one to live life for the glory of Christ, very positive representation of pastor and church family, important nativity scenes, emphasis on the importance of prayer and Bible reading, with strong biblical emphasis on being selfless, generous, and compassionate; no foul language; no violence; no sex; girl wears low cut top and strapless dresses with light cleavage; and, girl is disrespectful to parents and God, and girl is a bully in school.
