Review:

Warning! Warning! Warning! FRIDAY THE 13TH, an ultra-violent reimaging of the horrific movie series from the 80s, is one of the most blatantly demonic movies to come from Hollywood this year. The movie stars a slew of young Hollywood up-and-comers who, one by one, get viciously murdered by the sociopathic killer, Jason Voorhes.

In this movie, the plot is secondary to the violence. It involves a young man who goes looking for his sister when she and a group of over-sexed, drug-smoking friends go missing on their camping trip to the defunct camp at Crystal Lake. While looking for her, he stumbles upon another group of hapless, over-sexed, drugged-out youths who are being violently killed by the murderous Jason.

The content of this movie contains every horror imaginable. From characters being beheaded to throats being slit, from machetes and axes being driven through skulls to violent stabbings, from teenage drunkenness to illegal drug abuse, from an over-abundance of extreme vulgar language to graphic nudity and explicit sex scenes, FRIDAY THE 13TH contains no redemptive content whatsoever.

This movie is demonic. It is also heartbreaking. The producers, the writers, the director, the cast, and all involved in the production need prayer and deliverance. Also, the audiences who clamor to this movie need prayer as well as the salvation of Jesus Christ. This is not entertainment. This is an oppressive, demonic indoctrination of violence and sexual exploitation. Scripture urges us in Phil. 4:8, “Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” FRIDAY THE 13TH thinks on none of these things. It blatantly flaunts its sinfulness in the face of every Biblical principle on morality, justice and salvation. Media-wise people of faith and values should avoid this movie at all costs and continually pray for Hollywood and the mass media to be redeemed from this demonic garbage.

Will anyone survive Jason’s rampage of revenge?
