What You Need To Know:
The quality of LA MISSION is nothing noteworthy. The performances are solid but the story is formulaic. LA MISSION is a repulsive homosexual diatribe that relies on the same cliché talking points as previous homosexual-themed movies. It has some sexual content, including a scene in a homosexual nightclub that resembles a drunken, pagan orgy. The movie also has strong violence as well as an overabundance of foul language. It also contains worldview problems and false religion, including worship to the evil Hindu goddess Kali. LA MISSION is forgettable, and not suitable for media-wise viewers or intelligent moviegoers.

(PaPaPa, HoHoHo, FRFR, FeFe, C, B, LLL, VV, SSS, NN, AA, DD, MM) Very strong pagan, homosexual worldview promoting the normalization of homosexuality, homosexual son is the sympathetic character while the father is portrayed as bigoted for not accepting his son’s lifestyle, though the father eventually accepts the son’s sexual choices, plus other pagan worldview elements include Aztec medicine man performs healing ritual, native Americans perform funeral ceremony and rain dances, feminist woman has shrine to the Hindu goddess, Kali, and equates Kali to Mary, the mother of Jesus, some light biblical references including Scripture quoted as well as some Catholic characters and Christian prayer; 102 obscenities, one profanity, one obscene gesture, and several uses of the “n” word; strong violence includes father and son having brutal fistfight, father chokes his son’s homosexual lover, young man is shot and another young man dies from gang violence; very strong sexual content includes depicted fornication, homosexual kissing, graphic discussion of homosexual encounters, implied homosexual sodomy, suggestive dancing scene in homosexual nightclub resembles a drunken orgy, and unmarried kissing; upper male nudity in several scenes, including a sexualized homosexual nightclub, and woman’s bare back is shown in depicted fornication scene; underage alcohol use depicted in homosexual nightclub, underage character drinks beer, recovering alcoholic father falls off the wagon and drinks tequila; marijuana smoking depicted; and strong miscellaneous immorality includes lying, rebellion, tattoos, gang activity, racial slurs, and family arguments between alcoholic father and immoral son.

LA MISSION stars Benjamin Bratt as Che, a recovering alcoholic who has lived his entire life in the tough, Hispanic neighborhoods of the Mission District in San Francisco.
The only thing Che loves more than restoring antique automobiles and suping up his lowrider car is his son, his best friend, Jesse, played by Jeremy Ray Valdez. That is, until Che discovers some incriminating photos of Jesse at a homosexual nightclub, kissing and grinding on another young man. Che’s relationship with his son quickly deteriorates into arguments and fistfights. Jesse enters his final weeks of high school and prepares to leave for college, but time is running out for Jesse’s father. Che must decide if he will cut off his son, his best friend, forever, or if he will accept Jesse’s homosexual lifestyle.
LA MISSION is a repulsive diatribe that relies on the same cliché talking points as previous homosexual-themed movies — from the monologue of the disheartened young man who just wants people to accept him no matter who he loves to the strong father-figure who struggles with bigotry, eventually learning to accept his son’s sinful lifestyle.
The quality of the movie is nothing noteworthy. The performances are solid and the directing is unobtrusive, but the story is formulaic. Besides the homosexual propaganda, the movie’s other major failings come in the script’s foul language that includes 102 very strong obscenities, one profanity, one obscene gesture, and several uses of the “n” word, as well as some strong violence and other worldview problems with mixed paganism and false religions, including a shrine to the Hindu goddess, Kali. There is also some sexual content, such as a depicted scene of fornication, though nothing is graphically shown, and a scene of hundreds of shirtless men dancing in a homosexual nightclub that resembles a drunken, pagan orgy.
Iconic male archetypes continue to get homosexualized in Hollywood movies. LA MISSION is another movie in the long line of Hollywood movies trying to normalize homosexuality. Just like the “cowboys” (um, shepherds) of BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, in LA MISSION, some tattooed Hispanic low-riders come out of the closet. Here, it is important to note that BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN and LA MISSION, as well as many other pro-homosexual movies, contain overt sexual content and strong obscenities. Once you flamboyantly violate God’s Law, other rebellious acts are sure to follow! If homosexual behavior were really okay, why do so many pro-homosexual movies contain all this other offensive content?
Thankfully, this movie has not gotten the mainstream media attention of prior movies such as BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, so it will soon be forgotten. The content is deplorable, and not worth the attention of media-wise audiences or intelligent moviegoers.
