What You Need To Know:

HEAVEN BOUND is a Christian comedy about a couple, who find themselves in desperate fi-nancial straits after the husband loses his nice job. Ted and Josie come to believe all their prob-lems could be solved by recovering their economic status. So, with help from Josie’s goofy brother, they decide to rob a wealthy Christian man rumored to have hidden jewels in his house. Their attempt backfires, however. The man catches them and decides to keep them hostage in his home, refusing to let them leave until they decide to follow Jesus. What ensues is a learning ex-perience regarding the value of the eternal, the limits of material wealth and the true priorities in life.

Some of the comedy in HEAVEN BOUND feels forced and even painful in places, but there are genuinely funny moments scattered throughout the movie. Also, the deeper spiritual issues the movie endeavors to discuss are handled in a thought-provoking and even emotional way. Some brief slapstick violence and the mature nature of the discussions regarding marriage and eternity in HEAVEN BOUND warrant caution for younger children.
