What You Need To Know:

21 BRIDGES is a riveting cop thriller. Ever since Andre was a little boy, sitting in Church, he’s been told to uphold truth and justice. When he becomes an NYPD Detective like his father, he knows to seek the truth in every situation and always seek justice. That’s the code by which he lives. When two men kill multiple policemen and steal large amounts of cocaine, Andre must work with Frankie, a narcotics detective, to discover the truth and find the killers before they escape Manhattan. The police close all the bridges leading out of Manhattan, but Andre and Frankie only have until 5 a.m. to get the cop killers.

21 BRIDGES is a gripping police thriller filled with jeopardy. The cinematography is top notch, and the action is well paced. There are some plot twists that aren’t very hard to figure out, but they help fulfill the movie’s premise. 21 BRIDGES has a strong Christian, moral worldview extolling faith, prayer, truth, and justice. However, it has excessive foul language and strong, intense violence with some blood. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution.

More Detail:

21 BRIDGES tells the story of an NYPD detective, who will do anything to expose the truth and must uncover what happened when two men kill several police officers while stealing lots of cocaine. A riveting cop thriller, 21 BRIDGES has a strong Christian, moral worldview extolling faith, prayer, truth, and justice, but it also has excessive foul language and some strong, intense violence.

Andre has grown up in a family of cops. He saw his father die in the field, after being a commendable officer in the NYPD. When Andre decides to go into the field himself, he knows he must fight for truth and justice no matter what.

One night, two men burglarize a restaurant trying to get to the cocaine located in the back. What they discover is massive amounts of cocaine. Not soon after that, several cops come to the store. The men end up killing multiple cops and getting away. When Andre comes to the scene, he sees the destruction and multiple deaths. He also finds much more cocaine then they thought they would find, so now a narcotics officer named Frankie Burns is also on the case.

After deciphering that the two killers are in the city, Frankie and Andre decide that the best plan is to close all 21 bridges, so that Manhattan is completely closed and the man can’t get out. They are given until 5 a.m. to find the men and get the cocaine that was stolen, before the bridges are open again. Andre will do whatever it takes to find out the truth in this case.

21 BRIDGES is a gripping cop thriller filled with jeopardy. The movie runs a lean, exciting 100 minutes. The cinematography is top notch, and the action is well paced. There are some plot twists that aren’t very hard to figure out, but they help fulfill the movie’s premise.

Even better, 21 BRIDGES has a strong Christian, moral worldview. The first scene starts out in a church, with Scripture being read. This scene really sets the premise for the entire movie, about standing for truth and justice and that no man is without sin. Andre is now given the mission to follow the Scripture and stand for truth. Despite all this, however, 21 BRIDGES has excessive foul language and strong, intense violence with some blood. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution.
