3 Faith-Based Projects We’re Excited About

OK, so maybe we should just call 2020 quits already and focus on 2021 and the hopefully excellent content that will come with it.
Friends of Movieguide® have been hard at work on various projects, and we’re excited for their potential. Here are three in particular that are associated with Movieguide® Award winners that we are interested in following.
REDEEMING LOVE
REDEEMING LOVE, based on the novel by Francine Rivers, is loosely based on the book of Hosea in the Bible. REDEEMING LOVE tells the story of a man named Michael Hosea who marries a prostitute named Angel. The project is produced by Cindy Bond and executive produced by Roma Downey.
Bond previously produced I CAN ONLY IMAGINE, which won the Epiphany Prize® for Most Inspiring Movie of 2018 at the Movieguide® Awards.
Downey won the Grace Prize® in 2013 for her role in THE BIBLE.
REDEEMING LOVE is due out in theaters in Spring 2021.

THE CHOSEN – Season 2
2020 Grace Prize® winner Jonathan Roumie will reprise his role as Jesus in THE CHOSEN, a first-of-its-kind streaming series about Jesus and His disciples.
THE CHOSEN – Episode 8: “I Am He” was nominated for the 2019 Epiphany Prize® for Television at the 28th Annual Movieguide® Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry.
Season 2 is expected to drop around Easter 2021.

JESUS REVOLUTION
JESUS REVOLUTION will tell the story of Pastor Greg Laurie, the founder of Harvest Crusades, and how the Jesus Movement of the 1970s helped lead him to Christ. The movie is produced by the Erwin Brothers and will be directed by Jon Gunn.
Andy Erwin directed I CAN ONLY IMAGINE, which won the Epiphany Prize® for Most Inspiring Movie of 2018 at the Movieguide® Awards.
The Erwin brothers’ movie WOODLAWN was nominated for the Epiphany Prize® for the Most Inspiring Movie of 2015.
Gunn directed THE CASE FOR CHRIST, which was one of the 10 Best Movies for Families at the 26th Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala.
JESUS REVOLUTION was scheduled to begin filming earlier this year, but was put on pause due to COVID-19.
