CHADWICK BOSEMAN: PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST is a 21-minute documentary about the late actor’s dedication to his craft. It compiles interviews from past co-stars, producers and directors. They reflect on working with Boseman and read some of his private notes from his personal script for MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM, the last movie he filmed before his untimely death. Intercut with the interview segments are pertinent scenes from his last movie and archival footage of a speech he gave.

CHADWICK BOSEMAN: PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST is a 21-minute documentary on Netflix about the late actor’s dedication to his craft. It compiles interviews from past co-stars, producers and directors. They reflect on working with Boseman and read some of his private notes from his script of MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM, the last movie he did. Intercut with the interview segments are pertinent scenes from that movie and archival footage of a speech he gave after graduating from Howard University. Boseman died of colon cancer at age 43 and starred in the MOVIEGUIDE® Award winning movie 42, a movie about baseball legend Jackie Robinson becoming the first black player in Major League Baseball in 1947.
