Actress Kirstie Alley Compares Being Conservative in Hollywood to Living in THE TWILIGHT ZONE

LOOK WHO’S TALKING actress Kristie Alley recently compared working in Hollywood as a conservative to living in THE TWILIGHT ZONE.
While on Fox News’ TUCKER CARLSON TODAY, Alley told Carlson that people in the industry told her to keep her conservative views to herself.
“People go, ‘You’re so brave.’ I go, ‘No, I think I’m stupid.’ Because honestly… it is a real blackballing situation,” Alley told Carlson. “It’s so strange to me because artists are free-thinkers, for the most part.”
Alley noted that Hollywood is more concerned with someone’s political views than with actors who are struggling with drugs or sexual immorality.
“You can be cooking meth and sleeping with hookers, but as long as you didn’t vote for Trump…” Alley said. “I feel like I’m in THE TWILIGHT ZONE a bit, with the whole concept of it.”
Alley said that many of her peers in the industry disassociate themselves from her after she announced her support of Donald Trump in the 2016 election. Alley said she previously voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012.
“On Twitter, I had many celebrities follow me, and now I think three follow me,” Alley claimed. “I’m the same person. I’m the girl who voted for Obama, twice. And I’m like, ‘Oh, so you liked me when I voted for Obama, and now you’re this?” ‘
The most recent example of similar blacklisting came when Lucasfilm fired conservative actress Gina Carano.

Carano claimed that while on set, Disney silenced her conservatives views in favor of a single narrative.
“They’ve been all over me and they’ve been watching me like a hawk,” Carano said. “And I’m watching people on the same production and they can say everything they want, and that’s where I had a problem. I had a problem because I wasn’t going along with the narrative.”
Carano added: “I was prepared at any point to be let go because I’ve seen this happen to so many people. I’ve seen the looks on their faces. I’ve seen the bullying that takes place, and so when this started, they point their guns at you, and you know it’s only a matter of time. I’ve seen it happen to so many people, and I just thought to myself, ‘you’re coming for me, I know you are.’ They’re making it very obvious through their employees who were coming for me, and so I was like, ‘I’m going to go down swinging and I’m going to stay true to myself.'”
Carano further hinted that other conservatives may feel marginalized by the Disney conglomerate and are afraid to speak up.
“I’m not the only one that’s ever been bullied by this company, and I know that so deeply,” Carano said. “I could share a story which would turn things around in the media but I can’t because it would sell out a friend… Everyone is afraid of losing their job.”
