Former Fox News Host Tucker Carlson Announces Plans to Relaunch Show on Twitter

Tucker Carlson announced on Tuesday that he plans to relaunch his show TUCKER CARLSON TONIGHT on Twitter.
“Starting soon, we’ll be bringing a new version of the show we’ve been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter,” Carlson announced. “We bring some other things too, which we’ll tell you about. But for now, we’re just grateful to be here.”
TUCKER CARLSON TONIGHT was taken off air by Fox News at the end of last month following Fox Corp settling in a $787.5 million defamation lawsuit which Carlson played a large part in.
Before he departed from the network, Carlson was the highest-rated program on Fox News, particularly popular in the 25-54 age demographic. His large audience helped Fox News pull in high viewership, making them the most-watched U.S. cable news network.
“We have not signed a deal of any kind whatsoever,” Twitter CEO Elon Musk clarified on Tuesday after Carlson’s announcement. “Tucker is subject to the same rules & rewards of all content creators.”
Musk has long touted himself as being a “free speech absolutist,” a motivating factor in his acquisition of Twitter last year. While he welcomes Carlson onto his platform, he also “hope[s] that many others, particularly from the left, also choose to be content creators on [Twitter].”

Tucker Carlson recently took to Twitter to provide an update after departure from Fox News.
“One of the first things you realize when you step outside the noise for a few days is how many genuinely nice people there are in this country. Kind and decent people, people who really care about what’s true,” he started.
He also mentioned how “unbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are. They’re completely irrelevant and they mean nothing.”
“However, at the same time, the undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future, get virtually no discussion at all. War, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, and natural resources,” he addressed.
With Carlson being the main reason many would watch Fox News, he touched on the fact that the media shares what they choose to share, stating “our current orthodoxies won’t last, they’re brain dead.”
He added that those in charge know those things which is why they are “hysterical and degressive. They’re afraid. They’ve given up persuasion. They’re resorting to force.”
“When honest people say what is true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful. At the same time, the liars who’ve been trying to silence them, shrink. They become weaker,” Carlson stated.
