‘It’s Been Too Long!’: Tori Kelly Announces Tour After Health Scare

By Movieguide® Contributor

Tori Kelly is ready to hit the road and head out on tour.

“It’s been too long! the #takecontroltour is here,” Kelly posted on Instagram, along with the cities and dates of the tour.

The tour is in support of her latest release, an EP titled “tori” and will see her stop in eight cities. Some fans were disappointed at the length of the tour, but others were quick to point out Kelly’s recent health scare.

“She just had a major health scare so stop harassing her about not doing more dates/ not coming to your city!” one fan wrote in the comments of Kelly’s tour announcement.

The singer is still recovering from blood clots that caused her to collapse and be rushed to the hospital earlier this summer.

Movieguide® previously reported:

Grammy Award winner Tori Kelly was hospitalized Sunday, July 23, after fainting during dinner in downtown L.A.

According to a source, Kelly is being treated for blood clots found around her vital organs.

A source told TMZ that Kelly was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where doctors found blood clots around Kelly’s lungs and legs.

According to the source, Kelly’s condition is “really serious,” and she has been “in and out of consciousness.”

“I’m feeling stronger now and hopeful, but unfortunately there are still some things to uncover,” she wrote in an update to fans. “It’s been a scary few days, but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you.”

Her husband, André Murillo, also shared a statement, writing, “Tori is smiling again and feeling stronger. Not fully out of the woods but we see the sun. Just waiting on a few more answers. Your love and kindness has been overwhelming. Thank you so much!”
