Life Feeling Out of Control? Here’s Where You Can Find Peace

Danny Gokey is sharing some spiritual encouragement for anyone struggling.
“If you’re going through a struggle right now, I got some pain medicine for you,” he said in a recent Instagram video. “It’s found in the word of God. The word of God is life.”
He continued, “It says right here in Psalm 23, ‘The Lord is your shepherd.’ I declare that over you. ‘You have what you need.’ You may not feel it, you may not see it, but in Christ, you have everything you need. Verse 2, I love this — ‘He lets me lie down in green pastures and leads me beside quiet waters.’ Listen, chaos may be all around you, but in your spirit, there’s peace and calm when you trust in the Lord. ‘He renews my life, He leads me along right paths for His name’s sake.’”
“I want to pause right there,” Gokey said. “You might think you don’t know what’s happening next, but He says, for His glory, ‘He’ll lead you along the right path.’ Not for your glory, but for His glory, because it shows how good He is. And David said in Verse 4, ‘Even when I go through the darkest valley, I will fear no danger.’ Some of you are in dark valleys, but you don’t have to fear danger. If the enemy can keep you in fear, he can keep you away from the promise because faith is what moves God and fear is what allows the enemy in. So get in faith and know this — that even in the dark valley, you do not have to fear, because here’s why. He says, ‘For you are with me and your rod and staff will comfort me.’”
Gokey concluded, “I love that right here in Verse 5 — ‘You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemy.’ He’s so good, He wants to prepare a table and feed you, and your enemies can’t get to you because you’re covered by the Most High. He says in Verse 6, ‘Only goodness and faithful love will consume me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord as long as I live.’ God’s got you. The battle’s already won. Now, the battle is for you to stay in faith and not fear. Keep walking with the Lord. The promised land is on the other side.”
The Christian singer is currently getting ready to head out on the “United We Worship” tour that will kick off in November.
“Headlining the tour are Grammy-nominated artist Danny Gokey and Mac Powell. Joining them on stage will be the incredibly talented Tasha Layton and rising star Seph Schlueter,” CCM Magazine reported, adding that the concert series “promises to be an unforgettable experience, featuring powerful worship sessions, uplifting music, and a spirit of unity that will resonate with attendees long after the concerts conclude.”
Gokey recently posted about the tour on Instagram, writing, “We can’t wait to get out there and join together as we focus on what matters most – lifting up the name of God.”

Christian artists Danny Gokey and Natalie Grant have once again teamed up for their annual Christmas tour.
In a video posted on the singers’ social media pages, the pair announced the start of the tour on Dec. 5 while also sharing many laughs.
Gokey isn’t sure if he’s ready for it, but he’s “prayed up.”
This is the duo’s ninth year doing this tour, and even through all of the teasing, they “love it” and can’t wait to celebrate Christ’s birth again with their fans.
Grant wrote in the caption of the video, “@DannyGokey and I are so excited to announce our 9th annual Celebrate Christmas tour is back this December!!!!!!! 🎅🏽🎄🧑🏻🎄 Tickets go on sale this Friday, but you can use the code ✨CELEBRATE✨ to get access NOW!”
