Christmas comes early for Great American Pure Flix fans as the streamer gets ready to launch its Christmas in July programming later this month.
“Get ready to unwrap the Christmas spirit early! ✨🎁 Great American Christmas in July starts Friday, June 27 on Great American Family featuring heartwarming stories filled with faith, family, and the true meaning of the season. 🎄,” Great American Pure Flix announced on Instagram.
“Great American Christmas in July is more than a mid-year tradition – it is a joyful celebration of what our viewers love: stories that uplift, inspire, and bring families together,” added Great American Pure Flix CEO Bill Abbott. “This year, it also marks the beginning of the countdown to something truly special — the 5th Anniversary of Great American Christmas, which returns bigger and brighter than ever this October.”
The network’s Christmas in July celebration will take place over five Saturdays, from June 27 to July 26. Each weekend will focus on a different theme, along with an additional celebration on July 4 to focus on patriotic movies.
June 27 will kick off the month with movies focused on “elegance, enchantment, and touches of royal romance everywhere.”
July 4 will feature Christmas movies with a patriotic spin, followed by movies highlighting the grace and joy of the Christmas season on July 5.

July 12 will feature movies that deliver “strength, sincerity, and timeless charm,” while July 19 will feature a curated collection of movies that capture the essence of the holiday spirit.
Finally, July 26 will end the celebration with a showcase of the beloved fan-favorites in the network’s entire Christmas catalogue.
As always, the movies will feature strong Christian and biblical values, even if faith is not explicitly discussed in the story. Great American Pure Flix and the actors who star in the movies remain committed to bringing faith to the big screen alongside quality stories.

“For me, the Christmas spirit is actually the belief of Jesus Christ and scripture,” Great American Pure Flix star Jesse Hutch previously said. “During the holiday season, in our family, that’s just another reason for us to focus not on ourselves, but on others. I think Christmas is always a reminder of helping those around you and not necessarily always making it about you and separating your family from everyone. Always set time aside for others.”
Great American Pure Flix’s Christmas in July is a great reminder of this sentiment along with all of the other lessons the holiday season brings.
