As we look toward fall lineups, networks are announcing their shows for the 2024-2026 midseason.
According to TV Insider, every show coming out in January is:

BEST MEDICINE is a new show based on the British series DOC MARTIN. The comedy follows the genius surgeon Martin Best, who leaves the big city to become a GP in a quaint east coast fishing village. Lacking bedside manner, Best quickly gets off on the wrong foot. He finds himself dragged into local drama but is masking a phobia and diagnosis that prevent him from having relationships.
“The story of DOC MARTIN has resonated worldwide with its humanity, originality, and humor, and with BEST MEDICINE coming to Fox, that eccentricity gets a small-town America spin, complete with idyllic charm and absurdity,” said Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network. “Liz, Mark, Philippa, Ben, and Rodney have done a terrific job adapting this signature character for the Fox audience, especially in casting the terrifically talented Josh Charles as our lead.”
Y: MARSHALL will center on Luke Grimes’ YELLOWSTONE character, Kayce Dutton. Kayce’s wife, Monica, and their son Tate, are expected to return in the series.
YELLOWSTONE officially ended in December 2024 after five seasons. The last episode showed Kayce selling his family’s ranch to Chief Thomas Rainwater, with the request that Kayce could live on the east camp. The last segment saw him and Tate buying some cattle, PEOPLE reports.
Y: MARSHALL’s logline reads, “With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals.” Kayce combines, “his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.”
With plenty of country drama, that should hold YELLOWSTONE fans over for a while.
