Candace Cameron Bure is excited to “share God through storytelling” in her movies, from the latest AINSLEY MCGREGOR installment to her upcoming Christmas projects.
“I absolutely love the [AINSLEY MCGREGOR] MYSTERY series — they’re cozy mysteries, they’re just fun for the whole family to watch,” she said in an interview with Movieguide®. “It’s just fun to try and figure out who’s done it.”
Bure also spoke about her Christmas movies, including a very special project titled TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY that sees the actress co-starring alongside her daughter Natasha.
“This was such a blessing to me as a mom,” she shared. “My daughter’s been an actress for over 10 years…she’s a wonderful actress, and I’ve been looking for a project, really hoping that we could do something together, and I asked her if she would do this movie with me, and she said yes.”
Bure said TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY is about the relationship between a grandmother and granddaughter “and really seeing the sacrifices she made and the purpose and the heart behind all the choices she made over the years.”
In a Great American Family press release, the FULL HOUSE actress said, “In a world of technology, TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY harkens back to a simpler time and the core values passed to us by our parents and grandparents. It reminds us that the best gifts we receive are the ones we freely give away.”
Bure shared some details about her other Christmas movie, too — a highly-anticipated sequel to the popular HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS.
“I believe we’re going to call it ANOTHER SWEET CHRISTMAS,” she revealed. “We are continuing the journey of Sam and Sophie…now we get to watch them get married!”
In a GAF press release, Bure said, “It is such a joy to reunite with my good friend and co-star, Cameron Mathison, to share the next chapter of Sam and Sophia’s epic love story. Our fans loved witnessing their love blossom in [ANOTHER SWEET CHRISTMAS]. This time we’re excited to bring our fans ‘into the movie’ and to the biggest moment in Sam and Sophie’s lives.”
Bure explained, “God gives each and every one of us gifts and…we want to make them grow. My gift has been given to me in storytelling, so I get to share Jesus, I get to share the gospel, I get to share God through storytelling.”
“I don’t want to make something just for the sake of making it,” she continued. “If there isn’t a purpose, it’s not worth it…I want it to impact a life in some way.”
From mysteries to Christmas movies, Bure has plenty of exciting new projects to enjoy — and help positively impact others.
