Influencer Sophia Hill Watts says, despite what you see on social media, “we’re all the same.”

“We’re all the same. We’re all sinners saved by grace,” she said during an appearance on Sadie Robertson Huff’s “WHOA That’s Good” podcast

Watts added, “Just because you’re seeing our highlights — we all have our arguments. We have our hard days. You’re not seeing all this stuff, but it’s still happening.”

“I just don’t want people to get discouraged in their own lives because they just think everyone else’s looks so perfect and glamorous online,” she concluded.

Watts and her husband Taylor recently shared the news that they are expecting baby No. 2, and the influencer was just as transparent about the struggles she was facing as she told fans about her pregnancy journey.

“If you guys have been keeping up with us, you know that this pregnancy journey was a little bit different than our first trying-to-conceive journey,” she shared in a YouTube video. “In my head, I was getting to the point where I just felt like I was just never going to get pregnant.”

Watts explained that, while she got pregnant with daughter Mary Mahryn, 18 months, “extremely fast,” their pregnancy journey with their second child made them realize what a “blessing” that was.

In another video detailing the pregnancy journey in further detail, Watts told the camera, “I’ve always had my trust in God, but I feel like I’ve just been a little impatient. I just need to calm down. It’ll happen when it’s supposed to happen.”

In one clip, viewers see Watts holding a positive pregnancy test and crying, saying, “I’m so happy, I just can’t even. I don’t even know what to do.”

In an Instagram post celebrating the pregnancy, the couple wrote, “Thank you Jesus for this answered prayer! We love you so much already little baby. Mommy & daddy cannot waitttt to meet you! Your big sister is quite excited too!”

The Watts’ also shared the gender of the baby, posting on Instagram, “ANOTHER BABY GIRL!!!”

“Our hearts can’t take it!” they wrote. “Mary Mahryn is going to be a big sissy to a sweet GIRL. We are so excited to meet this little angel & become a family of 4! Am I dreaming?!”

Watts’ comments are a reminder for anyone comparing their lives to those they see online that the posts they see are just a highlight reel — just like anyone else, there’s plenty of difficulty behind the scenes.
