Yankees powerhouse hitter Aaron Judge proclaimed his faith at a recent All-Star game with a Bible verse emblazoned on his bat.

was back for another All-Star game, and this year, Judge shared his faith through a Bible verse he wrote on his game bat.

The athlete’s custom-made bat for the game featured his daughter’s name, Nora, and 2 Corinthians 5:7: “For we live by faith, not by sight.”

In the media days leading up to the All-Star game, Judge opened up about where his fulfillment in life comes from. His answer was simple: “Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Judge continued, “He’s given me this platform — given me this ability…Getting a chance to do this, it’s great and all, but it’s not fulfilling as much as the relationship I have with Him. So that’s what I would tell anybody. Just build a relationship with Him, and that’ll solve all your problems.”

He echoed the same sentiment at last year’s All-Star appearance.

“[Faith is] where it starts for me — the foundation, where I get a lot of my strength, and being able to do what I do on a daily basis. It all comes from that,” Judge revealed. “…It all starts with the faith. I’m definitely blessed to be in this spot.”

The athlete’s experience with adoption has taught him a lot about God’s love.

“[God’s] love is incredible. It has no ends,” Judge explained last year. “The position I was in, being adopted by my parents, for them to pick me, choose me, put me in their lives, it’s incredible…Just having His blessings, keeping the faith through good times and bad times knowing He’s always with me, that’s definitely helped me get to this position.”

The hitter is off to another great start this season.

According to Sports Spectrum, Judge “leads all of MLB in batting average (.355) and hits (125), while he is second to Seattle’s Cal Raleigh in home runs (35) and RBIs (81). A strong finish to the season may mean a number of new career highs for Judge, who has already been selected to seven All-Star Games, won two AL MVP awards (2022, 2024), and set the AL single-season home run record (62) during his 10-year career.”

Judge may lead the league in batting average and hits, but none of that compares to the joy that he finds in his relationship with God.
