DUCK DYNASTY’s Sadie Robertson Huff goes through hard times just like the rest of us.

“Ever had a really hard day that turns into a hard week? Same 😅” she began a recent Instagram post.

“Christian and I had a crazy 6 days with a robbery, ER visit, sick kids, and spiritual warfare! We talked all about it on today’s @whoathatsgoodpodcast episode!”

But even when life is crazy and scary, Huff knows God’s always with her.

“I’m so thankful for God’s protection over our family!” she added. “We are constantly learning to depend in Him always. God always shows up in the middle of our mess! He is strong and steady even when we aren’t 🤍”

She included Proverbs 3:5-6, a verse that’s encouraged her family during this time.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight,” it reads.

People in the comment section were thankful for Huff’s relatable message.

“Feeeeell this! Excited to listen & grateful for this reminder that we all need 💛” one user said. Another person added, “Spiritual warfare is real! When you’re doing something right, the enemy fights hard. Faith is always stronger than the opponent. 🙏”

In her recent podcast episode, she shared more details about their recent trials and how they pushed them to rely on God.

“You have to know that God holds the victory, and you have to know that these moments are temporary and you’re going to get through them, and you have to speak that over your family,” she said.

Huff explained how reading the Psalms really helped her get through the hard times.

“Psalms the other day like spoke to my soul when it was like, ‘That is not what the righteous man does.’ Like, ‘He does not fear bad news coming…he his heart is steady and set on the Lord,” she added.

Despite knowing God’s truth, Huff admits that she still falls into moments of fear.

“I was so certain somebody’s going to get sick, something bad is going to happen, blah blah blah blah, and being frustrated at God because of the power of the storm.”

Huff realized, however, that God is so much more powerful than any storm we face.

“Measure that against the power of God. Do you believe He’s in the boat with you?” she said, referencing the story in Mark 4. “If God’s in the boat with you, then like when He says it has to stop, it has to stop. When He says, ‘Wind and waves be still,’ they have to be still.”

She added, “Even when the storm comes, I know God’s in our boat.”

What an encouraging message for those going through challenges right now.
