Action sports star Brian Deegan cherishes every moment he gets to spend with his kids.

In a new post on social media, he shared a photo of himself and his two sons, Haiden and Hudson, riding dirt bikes together, and reflected on parenting.

“This first picture is one of the most meaningful moments I have had as a dad in my purpose-driven life. Imagine sharing what you love with your kids, even if it’s just for a moment,” Deegan wrote. “It’s wild what this country tells you is the norm. I must say, please question it. At this age, I’m definitely wiser, but it’s only because I’ve made many mistakes to learn from, which gives me wisdom I can pass down to my kids. I’m not buying the put your kids in school when they’re 18, they move out and go to college, get a 9 to 5, retire at 60, definitely not the program I believe in.”

Deegan shared his advice when it comes to parenting in this generation.

“I feel you should work your hardest to be a part of your kids’ lives, then they get married and have kids, until then you’re their biggest supporter, and after that you support the families and generations that come after,” he explained.

He emphasized that the family “is stronger together as a team” and encouraged people to study other countries where families stick together.

“We will be the first generation that will leave an inheritance not just money, but many other things of value,” he continued. “I share this not to brag, but to motivate men out there to live a planned-out life; otherwise, someone will plan it for you. Search for yourself. See what the Bible says about it. Seek and you shall find…It’s true.”

Haiden, Brian’s oldest son, just won his fifth championship title on Saturday at the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship at Budds Creek in Maryland. He finished 49 points above the second-place rider, Jo Shimoda.

But despite the win, he plans to keep working hard.

“I got a big goal ahead of me, so I’m just going to lock in and work really, really hard,” he said in a post-race interview.

His dad also posted a clip of the team celebrating Haiden’s championship.

“Grind – Sacrifice- teamwork = Champ! Faith Family Freedom keeps rollin’ #1,” Deegan wrote on social media. “Thx to all involved.”

Deegan’s message is a great reminder how parents raise their kids today will greatly impact their futures.
