‘Family-Friendly’ SONIC PRIME Heads to Nickelodeon!

Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the TV screen — SONIC PRIME is coming to Nickelodeon!

“Beginning on Oct. 4, Nickelodeon will begin airing ‘new’ episodes of the Netflix animated series SONIC PRIME, which originally ran from 2022 to 2024,” ComicBookResources reported. “As noted, while these episodes themselves aren’t brand-new, this is the first time that they’ll air on Nickelodeon.”

NickALive reported that these episodes come to Nickelodeon as part of a “partnership between Paramount and WildBrain [one of SONIC PRIME’s producers] to bring the hit series to the top kids’ entertainment channel.”

SONIC PRIME puts the titular blue hedgehog “in a high-octane adventure where the fate of a strange new multiverse rests in his gloved hands,” per an IMDb description.

Movieguide® positively reviewed SONIC PRIME, praising its first season for its “spectacular production values” and “strong moral worldview [that] extols the virtues of friendship and self-sacrifice.”

 

Season 2 of SONIC PRIME is also “family-friendly,” with “biblical morality [that] extolls the virtues of friendship and self-sacrifice and characters learn from each other to overcome pride, forgive and work together to oppose evil,” per the Movieguide® review.
