A new video game based on BLUEY will launch on Nex Playground next month — for “real life”!
The game will feature the Blue Heeler pup and her family as she “uses her limitless energy to play games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways, bringing her family and the whole neighborhood into her world of fun.”
The game “invites players to jump, dance, and laugh alongside the Heeler family.” It’s made for ages 4 and older and is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family, per Variety.

“The upcoming BLUEY game will feature several mini-games inspired by fan-favorite episodes, encouraging players to activate dance mode, play Keepy Uppy, and have fun with the magic asparagus, inspired by scenes from the show in a physical and interactive way,” the description reads.
“Through Nex Playground, we’re bringing the beloved world of BLUEY off the screen and into the living room, transforming favorite moments from the show into active, shared experience,” Nex co-founder and CEO David Lee said. “From jumping and dancing to bouncing and playing a game of squash, families can immerse themselves in cooperative and competitive mini-games inspired by iconic episodes like ‘Musical Statues,’ ‘Keepy Uppy,’ and ‘Asparagus’ – all designed to spark movement, imagination, and togetherness.”
The game will come out in October on Nex Playground with a Play Pass. Additional details will be revealed closer to the launch date.
BBC Studios global director of gaming and interactive Marina Mello said: “We believe that play and by extension, gaming, has the power to bring families closer together, so partnering with Nex was a natural fit. Nex’s unique technology allows fans of all ages to quite literally ‘jump’ into the fun together. The mini-games are not only inspired by fan-favourite episodes, they are purpose-built for shared play and unforgettable moments.”
There is already a Bluey game for Nintendo called Bluey: The Videogame.
“Play a brand-new story set across 4 interactive adventures. For the first time ever, explore iconic locations such as the Heeler House, Playgrounds, Creek and a bonus beach location,” the Nintendo game description reads. “Play your favourite games from the TV show, including Keepy Uppy, Chattermax Chase, and more!”
Nex Playground is an active, family-oriented play system that doesn’t use any handheld remotes or devices. Most games are for up to four players, from ages “5 to 95.” It prides itself as being safe for kids and is kidSAFE+ COPPA certified with no ads or mature content.
Nex Playground will also introduce four other games this fall: NHL, Unicorn Academy, Tiny Chef and NexPets Puppies.
