Like many of us, Sadie Robertson Huff experienced a difficult last few weeks, but she looks to God for strength — like we all should.
“I will keep this one short and simple, although I really have a lot to share about the last two weeks of life…the last two weeks in the world and the last two weeks in our home,” the DUCK DYNASTY star wrote on Instagram last week. “My thoughts are going to have to be on a podcast because Insta can’t handle it!”
“It’s been very overwhelming! So much good and so much evil! So much darkness and so much light! Rock bottoms and revivals. All in two weeks. In the world and in our home,” she added. “My spirit is excited, but also exhausted. Does anyone else get that?”

Robertson Huff detailed the trials her family experienced recently.
“The big girls got hand, foot, and mouth. And then after we finally got past that, I got hit with a crazy stomach virus. I then got mastitis…iykyk 😅” the mother of three revealed. “I had four days of fever, flu-like symptoms, and the worst stomach virus I have ever experienced in my life. After two days of not being able to hold anything in, I was put in the hospital for 2 nights.”
“I still don’t know what that was, but that’s okay. I’m just thankful to be better and to be healing at home. I missed my girls… 😭” she continued. “For those who saw Christian’s story and have been praying for me — THANK YOU🥹 it means the world that y’all pray for our family and we need it!”
Robertson Huff concluded her post by encouraging her followers to draw near to God during difficult times.
“I want to say to everyone feeling like they are carrying the weight of the world and their home — sit with the Lord,” she urged. “The second I opened my bible yesterday, I just began to cry. I felt like a deer panting for the water…my soul longed for God. I needed living water. Maybe you do too…life is hard sometimes, but God is good.”
The living water Robertson Huff referred to is from John 4: 13-14, which reads, “Jesus answered, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'”
Despite the setbacks, Huff and her family are gearing up for DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL Season 2.
“It was so fun filming things for season 2 commercials!!” she posted alongside photos of her with her sister, Bella, and husband, Christian. “Also, a few weeks out from the HULU drop! Eek!!”
Though the life certainly brings tragedy and trials, we all should, like Huff, seek the Lord in His word and find strength in what He says.
