HOUSE OF DAVID star Michael Iskander announced the fulfillment of a lifelong dream as the show releases an album based on his character’s songs.

“I’m so excited to announce that… there’s an ALBUM!!” Iskander announced on Instagram. “This has been a dream of mine since I was a child – to hear the psalms of David. And now this is as close as it gets. Before you ask, yes, the harp makes an official modern debut.”

“To be able to bring you the psalms is a dream come true,” he continued. “A huge thank you to @watchwonderproject, HOUSE OF DAVID, the Kiners, and everyone who helped bring you this album. Psalm 91 and 32 are out now!!! More Psalms coming very soon.”

HOUSE OF DAVID has proven to be a smash hit, becoming the No. 1 show on Prime Video during the debut of the first season and serving as the flagship show with the launch of the Wonder Project streaming service.

“We are blown away by the success of HOUSE OF DAVID and can’t wait for audiences to be swept away into the epic action and drama of Season 2,” said HOUSE OF DAVID director and Wonder Project founder Jon Erwin. “Our audience is underserved and craves a destination they can trust with exceptional originals and curated movies and TV shows. With the new Wonder Project subscription on Prime Video, we will be delivering all of that and more.”

A main focus in the show is David’s music ability, especially given that it was a major part of his story as his music served as a comfort for King Saul in David’s early years. While the show has yet to get to David’s writing of the Psalms, he also wrote the majority of these songs which comprise the middle of our Bible.

Season 2’s soundtrack looks to bring the music to another level, featuring many of Christian music’s top artists including for KING + COUNTRY, NEEDTOBREATH, Tori Kelly, Lecrae, Chris Tomlin and Anne Wilson.

“I’m so excited to watch the live-action retelling of the incredible story of David and listen to all of the music inspired by it,” Tori Kelly said. “’I’ve Got A Story’ is a song about struggle, perseverance, reflection, and triumph. I believe its message is relatable to so many people going through trials and tribulations in their lives. I hope this song finds anyone who listens to it in a moment when they need it most, whether they’re going through a painful time or a moment of victory.”

Multiple songs from the Season 2 album are now available to stream, as is the second season of the show which is available exclusively to subscribers to the Wonder Project streaming service through Prime Video.
