THE CHRISTMAS RING follows Vanessa, a young military widow searching for a family heirloom, a ring she lost years ago. During her search, she meets Howard and Ben Miller, a father and son who run an antique store. Vanessa and Ben grow close, but are hesitant to jump into a relationship, because both are still grieving their deceased spouses. By chance, Ben figures out where the ring is, but will he get it to Vanessa in time?

More Detail:

THE CHRISTMAS RING tells the story of Vanessa, a widow searching for a lost family heirloom who finds love along the way. Will she be able to let go of her past and allow herself to begin a new relationship?  

 Vanessa is desperately searching for an important family heirloom. It’s a ring her great-grandfather found by chance while serving in WWII that’s been passed down through the generations. However, Vanessa accidentally lost the ring and is now determined to get it back.  

 While searching, she meets antique shop owner Howard Miller and his son, Ben, who also works at the store. Vanessa and Ben bond over the fact that they both lost their spouses. Vanessa’s husband died while serving in the military, and Ben’s wife became terminally ill. They share their love stories of the past.  

 Vanessa begins to open up to the idea of starting a new relationship. Meanwhile, Ben’s father, Howard, receives a shipment of old jewelry that happens to include Vanessa’s ring. He makes plans to sell it, unaware of Vanessa’s connection to the ring. 

 Will Ben, discover his dad has the ring and get it to Vanessa in time? Will Vanessa decide to let go of her past relationship and start a new chapter in her life? 

 THE CHRISTMAS RING is a sweet, delightful Christmas movie. It places equal value on its romantic plot, as well as people’s relationships with family members and friends. The plot is interesting, sharing heartfelt meditations on grief and moving on. Jana Kramer and Benjamin Hollingsworth have excellent chemistry, and Kelsey Grammer is well cast as the father.

There are also strong moral themes, such as family, friendship, forgiveness, and helping others, along with strong patriotic elements.
