Actor Zachary Levi says family motivates him when he’s discouraged.

In an interview with Movieguide®, Levi credited, “My family, my son, specifically my son,” for inspiring him when hope feels lost.

He continued, “I’ve dealt with lots of darkness in my life and I wish that it was something that was, you know, like you can get through it and heal it and it’s done, but healing doesn’t work like that. And so, I continue to have my own struggles of depression or anxiety or regret or, you know, things like that, and I just try to l look at my son and see that I need to be here for him, and he deserves to have a father in his life to love him.”

Levi’s son Henson was born earlier this year. In a post to Instagram in the couple announced the birth of their sweet baby boy. “Henson Ezra Levi Pugh 🤍 Born into our world on 04/02/25,” they said. “Thank you for everyone’s continued love and prayers over the three of us. We can’t wait for you to meet our little man!”

Recently, Levi came under fire due to his more conservative views despite being an actor in Hollywood.

Levi told Fox News Digital, “I might go so far as to say I was graylisted, I guess. I’m still getting jobs, and I’m still grateful — very grateful — to be working. And I still have lots of friends in the industry, people who still want to work with me.”

He expressed gratitude even to those in the industry who don’t share the same views as him.

“I’m very grateful for all of those folks — whether or not we’re even on the same side of the political spectrum — people who know my heart and know that I’m a good man who just wants good in this world,” he said. “We might disagree on how to get there, but I genuinely want the best for everyone in this world.”

Levi’s story is a reminder that even when things are difficult and there’s struggle in our lives, it’s always important to hold close to those who matter most and make the struggle worth it.
