Former adult movie star Jenna Jameson rejected her career built on “sin,” now focusing on helping others “find Jesus.”
“After decades of being known for my body and sin, getting baptized and helping others find Jesus too,” Jameson wrote in a recent Instagram post, along with an audio clip that states, “Switching sides.”
A representative for Jameson told Fox News, “Jenna is being loud and proud about her walk with Jesus Christ. She believes that boldly proclaiming her love for Him is helping open so many people’s eyes to the truth that no one is beyond redemption.”
Jameson has been sharing her faith journey online. In a September Instagram post featuring past and present photos of herself, she wrote, “18 vs 51 I’ve definitely been through a lot, but I’m thankful. I’ve found my faith again and I’m so at peace. My belief in the most high has led me to strength I never knew I had.”
Jameson is not the only former porn actor who has decided to turn away from the adult entertainment industry and embrace Christianity.
Former adult movie actor Joshua Broome fell into the adult entertainment world after moving to LA as a young man.
“I believed the lie that if I made money I would be happy,” Broome told The New York Post. “I made well over a million dollars. I travelled everywhere I wanted to go. I had all the sex I could have ever imagined. But once I had it all, my life fell apart, because it amplified the sorrow and emptiness I always felt inside.”
After six years in the industry, he quit and moved home to North Carolina. After meeting his now-wife, Hope, Broome began attending church and even became a pastor, saying, “I surrendered a lifetime of shame. I lived with an ‘I’m not good enough’ mindset my entire life, and I was able to let that go.”
“It’s never too late to change what you’re doing,” he said. “Is it going to take some hard work? Yes. Is it going to take time? Yes. Is it going to be worth it? Absolutely.”
Broome added, “I built a life I can be proud of, and when I lie my head on the pillow at night I’m not ashamed and I don’t feel guilty. You can allow your past to own you or you can take control and own your past.”
Jameson’s and Broome’s stories are proof that it’s never too late to turn away from sin and follow Christ.
