Michael Bublé recently reflected on the magic of the Christmas season — and when people should start listening to Christmas music.

“I love Christmas. I loved it before when I was a kid, but now I love it even more because I just see it through the eyes of them,” he said on Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “And I can’t tell you how much I love building those memories, those core memories and waking up and you know, making cookies, you know, with Christmas music playing in the background and setting up.”

Bublé added, “We’re going to set up the tree tonight. Like, we’ve already kind of set it up, but now we’re going to all put the Anyway, hi all. This is like those are the moments that I will probably search for the rest of my life, and they’re happening now. So, I love Christmas. I love being a part of it.”

When asked what his favorite song to perform is, Bublé said, “I think ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas.’ I love ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas.’ What a beautiful, beautiful song. I think it’s one of the most well-crafted songs ever.”

He has some big things planned for this Christmas season, too.

“I fly to Rome where the Pope has asked me to come and perform and I’m going to sing some Christmas songs and other songs, but I get to sing Christmas songs there and it’s going to be and it’s unreal,” he revealed. “And my wife was in the car yesterday with me and she was like, ‘Mike, I’m going to cry the whole time.’

Bublé loves Christmas so much, in fact, that he believes people should begin playing Christmas music in the summer.

“I’m Michael Bublé, and I’m not gonna lie. We should start listening to Christmas music in June,” he said, joking, “It would be great for my streaming revenue.”

Though it’s been 15 years since Bublé released his signature holiday album simply titled Christmas, it remains a staple holiday soundtrack.

In fact, it returned to the top of Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums chart in November, giving it a total of 61 weeks atop that chart.

But for the singer, time with family during the holidays is what really matters. He shared a sweet photo reel of him and his family putting up their Christmas tree.

“Christmas tree is up, kids are wired and yes… we’re all wearing matching pajamas. I’m looking like the world’s most festive hostage. But honestly, decorating the tree with this crew is the best chaos I could ask for,” he wrote in the caption.
