Michael Bublé’s Advice for THE VOICE Winner? ‘God Has a Plan for You’

Michael Bublé had some spiritual advice for THE VOICE winner Sofronio Vasquez before the show’s finale.
“I just called him and said, ‘My brother, God has a plan for you, and I don’t know if that plan is to win THE VOICE, but if it isn’t then there is a plan to do it another way. And I will be there with you, man. I’ll be there, behind you, supporting you,’” Bublé told Access Hollywood. “And I’m glad that this was the choice the Lord made for him.”
So, what does the future hold for Vasquez?
“I put my trust in him,” Vasquez told NBC of Bublé. “I don’t know where am I going tonight, but tomorrow, probably I’m gonna call him just asking that.”
His coach added, “I think [his musical style] lands some more in faith. I think he’s a soul singer honestly. When you go look at somebody like Bruno Mars, or Adele, they are people that sing pop music, but it has that edge of a little gospel, a little soul. I think that’s a really exciting thing for a young guy like this to start finding. And by the way, I’m still finding myself. And it’s such a cool way to grow as an artist.”

“The hardest thing that I did with this journey is being away from my family,” he shared. “Being in the Philippines is really weird because we have a different scene of music there… they are not looking for the big belters here.”
Vasquez added that, win or lose, he planned on celebrating.
“We’re just going to celebrate that this was a very, very good run for THE VOICE and we really felt that we are loved by the production and no one is superior,” he concluded. “We are all loved.”
